As an indispensable part of sewage treatment systems, the maintenance of self-priming sewage pumps is of paramount importance. To ensure the long-term stable operation of the pump and extend its service life, we need to perform meticulous and comprehensive maintenance from multiple aspects. Only by doing a good job in these maintenance tasks can we ensure the long-term stable operation of the self-priming sewage pump and provide reliable support for the sewage treatment system.

First, daily external cleaning is essential. During operation, dirt and dust often accumulate on the surface of the self-priming sewage pump. This dirt not only affects the pump's appearance but may also adversely affect its performance. Therefore, we should regularly wipe the pump body surface with a soft cloth to remove dirt and dust. During cleaning, avoid using cleaning agents containing corrosive or abrasive substances to prevent damage to the pump body.

Second, inspecting the inlet and outlet pipes is also an important part of maintenance. We should regularly check the pipes for blockages, damage, or leaks. If blockages are found, they should be cleared promptly; if pipes are damaged or leaking, they should be repaired or replaced in a timely manner. This ensures that wastewater can smoothly enter the pump body, preventing pump damage or performance degradation due to pipeline problems.

Furthermore, the inspection and maintenance of bearings and seals are equally important. Bearings are one of the key components of the pump, and their wear directly affects the pump's operating performance. Therefore, we should regularly check the lubrication of the bearings and add or replace lubricating oil as needed. At the same time, the seals must also be kept intact to prevent liquid leakage. If any damage or leakage is found in the seals, they should be replaced immediately.

In terms of electrical components, we need to regularly check whether the motor wiring is secure and whether there are any signs of damage or aging. The motor is the power source of the pump, and its normal operation is crucial to the pump's performance. Therefore, we should ensure that the motor wiring is secure and reliable to avoid electrical faults.

Finally, we also need to pay attention to some details during maintenance. For example, after the pump stops running, the wastewater inside the pump should be drained to prevent water accumulation inside the pump body, which can lead to corrosion. In addition, when using the pump in winter, attention should be paid to the insulation of the pump body to prevent freezing and cracking due to low temperatures.

Maintenance of self-priming sewage pumps requires a multi-faceted approach, including external cleaning, pipeline inspection, inspection and maintenance of bearings and seals, inspection of electrical components, and attention to detail.
